Call for Papers for a Special Issue on STEM Education


STEM education refers to the integrated teaching and learning of the subjects, science, technology, engineering, and mathematics and plays a vital role in order to prepare students globally more competitive in the twenty-first century economy.

The Journal of Education in Science, Environment and Health (JESEH) welcomes articles submissions for a special issue with a focus on STEM Education.

This special issue aims to concentrate contributions from academic organizations addressing the issues, challenges, trends, research and pedagogy in STEM Education specifically distance STEM education to promote successful learning in Pre K-12 levels including teacher education.

We are looking for colleagues globally who are interested in contributing articles related to trends, research, and pedagogy in STEM Education, to be published in the April 2021 issues of JESEH. Distance STEM Education studies will be given priority in this issue of the journal. If a sufficient number of Distance STEM Education studies are submitted to the journal, a separate special issue will be created in Distance STEM Education title. 

Qualitative, quantitative, and mixed method research papers, position statements, meta-analysis and synthesis works, and works in curriculum and learning environments will be considered. In addition, manuscripts addressing any levels of education and learners are invited.

We do have flexibility on the page length, but suggest a maximum of 40 double-spaced manuscript pages (plus references) using APA style guidelines with Times New Roman 12 font. Authors for whom English is a second language are encouraged to have their manuscripts professionally edited prior to submission to improve readability. The template is not mandatory for articles submitted for review. The template can be used for accepted papers.

Authors can upload their paper to the system as a word file.
